  • WOW!!
SO many things have happened since my last update! But I don't have much time to update, so I think I'll just type it up in a nutshell:

    1. I graduated from AFCOE!!!
It was an amazing experience! All I can say is, IF YOU HAVEN'T GONE TO SOMETHING LIKE AFCOE... YOU SHOULD GO!!! I learned so much about everything... school, life, general things... WOW! I'm gonna miss it A LOT!
Here is a list of things I learned at AFCOE:

        HOW TO BEAT THE HEAT:
    1. Get a pool... if you can
    2. if 1 doesn't apply, then get a towel and soak it with cool water... then put it on top of you! it really works!
    3. Get a Hello Kitty fan... lol actually don't... they don't really work!
    4. if you can't do any of the above, just get some water and soak yourself... it works
    5. Oh and a hint... DON'T WEAR MAKE-UP!!! it only makes it worse!
        SCHOOL:
    1. Listen to the teacher when he/she is talking... there is a reason why they are standing up there...
    2. Take notes, you'll need them for tests!!
    3. Read the notes the teacher gives you!!! I mean... seriously... this is a duh.
    4. Don't use prayer as a last resort! Pray continually that God will help you listen to Him and the teachers... especially when you are falling asleep!!
        LIFE:
    1. People make decisions... you can't force them into anything
    2. sometimes you need to listen... and not talk...
    3. people need space...
    4. don't read into things... nothing could be happening at all!
    5. Have a shoulder people can cry on.
    6. don't let a conversation pass where you haven't talked about spiritual things! PUT JESUS FIRST!
        SPIRITUAL:
    1. You can't do anything on your own! Only through Jesus' help!
    2. Let Jesus hold the wheel... and don't try to take it back! It won't work!
    3. Sing... it always helps!
    4. Don't put yourself in a position that could cause you to do something that you'll regret.
    5. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!!
    6. Put Jesus first, last, and BEST!
So that's a small portion of the things I learned at AFCOE!! now... on to part 2!

    2. I got re-baptized at my graduation! :) It was an AWESOME experience! I'm so glad that God helped me to choose to take that step... next post I'll tell you a little more about why I chose to do that...

    3. I'm HOME now! and I'll be teaching next week at a small school in Benton, TN! I can't WAIT!!!! SO exciting!!

Anyways, it's 9:00 pm... and i need to get ready for bed!

    GOD BLESS!

    Love,

    Ruthie

  • Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I'm so thankful for Sabbath! It's a great day to spend some quality time with the best friend we'll ever have, Jesus!
I read this quote recently in EGW that says,

    Never can the cost of our redemption be realized until the redeemed shall stand with the Redeemer before the throne of God. Then as the glories of the eternal home burst upon our enraptured senses we shall remember that Jesus left all this for us, that He not only became an exile from the heavenly courts, but for us took the risk of failure and eternal loss. Then we shall cast our crowns at His feet, and raise the song, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing." Rev. 5:12. {DA 131.2}
I can't wait for that day! To stand before the eternal ruler and realize how worthless our efforts on earth were! Oh how awesome that will be!
And to think we are going to be apart of helping others see this wonderful time! It's so exciting!

Well, there is a lot of news and not a lot of time, so I'm gonna paraphrase it.

    1. The evangelistic meetings have started as of last night!!!! Isn't it exciting? The place was PACKED last night! I can't wait to see peoples lives changed by love of Jesus. He has done so much for each of us and now it's time to tell others.
    2. I'm off my crutches! YAY!
    3. I made peanut butter cookies yesterday! (ok this is for my family... cause they know how much I love peanut butter cookies and have been craving them... then my kind mommy sent me a recipe for cookies and I was so excited I made them!! yay, lol)

God Bless! Enjoy this wonderful Sabbath with Him!

  • Some of you were wondering how I managed to acquire these nice friends that I described to you in the previous post... So I have decided to humor you and give you the inside scoop.

    HERE IT IS!!

READ ALL ABOUT IT!  Ruthie fractured her left knee!

... and... yes, honestly, I have no idea how I managed to mess it up... unless it was from the ruthless people that I play basket ball with... (they aren't here to comment on that part of the update )

Anyways, so that's about it... I fractured my left knee by some unknown means and now I'm stuck with these two friends for the next few weeks... I don't know how long at this point! Hopefully no longer than that! It's getting quite aggravating, but hey! It's all right, because God has a reason for everything!

I'd send some more pics, but I don't have any new ones... but I have one from earlier, here it is:

(my roomies and I at the beginning of AFCOE L-R: Myself, Sue, Lyssa, Lori)

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I am feel like such a slacker when I don't reply, so I'm going to try to start replying to each of your comments from now on!

    Love ya'll,
    Ruthie

  • Guess what? I now have two really good friends who are with me constantly! It's so *ahem* great! (thankfully they can't read this or I'd be dead right now) Their names are Daniel and Revelation! Yeah, I know! Poor things! They are identical twins, so identical that their mom had to tattoo their names on their HEADS! Really poor things! (I am not kidding! It's the truth!)

Anyways, here is a picture of them:

(I'm not sure which is which here)

    (Their Tattoos)

    (Daniel and Revelation and me)

    (Amy, crutch, and someone else)

    (X-Woman)

    (They trapped me!!)

Anywas, so I'm now enjoying the aspect of gaining muscles in my arms... due to the nice crutches...

    God Bless,
    Ruthie
